A School Inspection is done at least once a year and it brings several things to light. Below are a few random items to be aware of.
Windows in classroom doors must allow easy viewing into classrooms. That said, a cover of some sort, usually a roll of paper sized to fit needs to be kept close by to cover the door in a lockdown.
Be vigilant in observing your surrounds. Do visual inspections when you are out on the playground and around campus. Investigate and report any safety or security concerns.
Extension Cords. Inspect the plugs. If the ground prong is missing, let Jody know.
More on Extension Cords. Any cords that cross areas of your room that people walk over must be placed in a cover or unplugged and immediately stored out of the way when you are pau with it and students will be moving around the classroom.
Cleaning Supplies. All cleaning supplies (and a ton of other items) must be documented with a Safety Data Sheets (SDS.) To keep in compliance and make sure that the safest possible chemicals are being used in our school, custodial will supply spray cleaner in a pump bottle that they will refill.
